A decentralized approach for frequency and voltage regulation in islanded PV-Storage microgrids

This paper proposes a novel decentralized and communication-less control strategy for frequency voltage regulation in Photovoltaic (PV)-Storage islanded Microgrids (MGs). The developed approach aims at achieving suitable management of the different operational assets PV-Storage MGs providing seamless transitions among them guaranteeing continuous effective power supply to loads. Local inverter controllers are designed exploiting capabilities Model Predictive Control; resulting architecture is composition local Distributed Generating (DG) unit controller relies only on measurements available DG site that allows nullifying both errors repartition request. way, proposed can combine advantages classic droop master/slave as it needs neither communication devices nor secondary centralized loop.
